Mindfulness Meditation Classes & Therapeutic Yoga Groups
And I said to my body softly,
“I WANT TO BE YOUR FRIEND.”
About the Groups
These small, closed groups are designed to help you reconnect with your body, regulate your nervous system, and find steadiness within yourself. Whether you are exploring meditation for the first time or looking to deepen your practice, each group offers a supportive space to slow down, learn, and connect.
You do not need any prior experience with yoga or meditation to join. Each group is designed to meet you where you are, whether you’re a beginner or already have a regular practice.
These are not therapy groups, but experiential spaces for practice and learning.
- Mindfulness Meditation Groups are structured more like a class, with a short talk, a guided meditation, and time for questions and reflections about the practice itself
- Therapeutic Yoga Groups are primarily movement-based, focused on gentle or energy-building sequences. There are brief check-ins at the beginning and end, but the focus of the group is the shared movement practice.
If you’re looking for a more personalized and therapeutic experience, we can always meet individually to explore your goals and experiences more deeply.
Mindfulness Meditation Groups
Each class includes a short teaching on mindfulness, drawn from the Four Foundations of Mindfulness, followed by a guided meditation and time for questions and reflections. Practicing together helps you learn that the wandering mind, restlessness, and doubt are all part of the process.
Over four consecutive weeks, you’ll begin to develop a steadier, kinder relationship with your mind. You may notice more space between your thoughts, a softer response to stress, and moments of calm that carry into your everyday life.
This isn’t about being good at meditation; it’s about learning to be with yourself as you are.
Therapeutic Yoga Groups
We move at a steady, intentional pace, creating space to notice how your body feels and what it needs. You’ll begin to understand how your nervous system shapes your sense of safety and energy, and how movement and breath can support balance, whether you feel on high alert or shut down.
Each class is guided through a trauma-informed lens and integrates principles of polyvagal theory, mindfulness, and somatic awareness. Over time, you may find yourself breathing more easily, feeling more grounded, and experiencing a growing sense of safety within your body.
Why Join a Group?
Many people find that group practice deepens their personal insight and provides tools they can continue to use long after the series ends.
